Recently I have been feeling a need to put my thoughts down in writing again.  And when you are unable to sleep because this nagging feeling is there that it is time to do something about it, with thoughts going through your mind at 3:00 in the morning of things that you need to write about, it is time to get started on it, and so here I am.  As I went for a walk today I was thinking about how different my life is today then it was a year ago, the peacefulness I feel now reflected in the stillness of the morning, the cool breeze felt in the air, and the beauty of nature all around me.  I feel truly blessed to have found this place.  And so I walk along with my dog quietly by my side, reflecting on the past, but now thankful for this moment, this time.  I stop to take in the shoreline along the way, the water quietly lapping the rocks, the sea gulls almost seem to be dancing on the water, and the sky so blue it feels as if you can drink it in.  The title of Barbara Brown Taylor’s book “An Altar in the World” comes to mind and I think yes you can truly find God anywhere, spread out in the altar of our own reality, right there present in that moment, and all moments God reaches out to us, touches us and says see, I am here, it is a Holy Day!
